(PF3151) <br /> <br />1.0 BACKGROUND <br /> <br />LIOn February 28, 2000 the City Council held the first reading of an ordinance amending <br />Section 1005.016 (outdoor Sales and Signage) of the City Code. <br /> <br />1.2 The current ordinance has been determined to be difficult to interpret, vague in <br />requirements, and insufficient in providing concise direction. The ordinance has be~n <br />refined to clarify these previous problems. The attached ordinance includes a number of <br />additions that provide clear direction to properly administer the code. The ordinance <br />provides for temporary outside display for up to 12 calendar days and for incidental or <br />seasonal sales such as produce for up to 90 calendar days. Both types of sales require a <br />permit issued by the Chief Code Enforcement Officer. <br /> <br />2.0 STAFF RECOMMENDATION <br /> <br />2.1 It is recommended the Roseville City Council approve the second reading and the <br />amendments to Section 1005.016 (Outdoor Sales and Signage) of the Roseville City <br />Code. <br /> <br />3.0 PLANNING COMMISSION ACTION <br /> <br />3.1 February 9, 2000, the Roseville Planning Commission held a public hearing regarding the <br />amendment to Section 1005.016 of the Roseville City Code. At this hearing, no citizens <br />addressed the Commission regarding the requested changes.
