Fish, Wildlife and Ecologically Sensitive Resources: a. Describe fish and wildlife resources on or near the site and discuss how they would be affected by the project. Describe any measures to be taken to minimize or avoid adverse impacts. The remaining lots on the site not occupied by streets, buildings, or excavated stormwater ponds are upland and are either under construction or have been graded to accommodate development. Temporary sediment and erosion control devices have been established on the sites under construction. No wooded or brushy areas are present, and the overall structural diversity of the habitat is low. The quality and value of this habitat for wildlife is relatively low due to the following reasons: 1 I J The nature of the adjoining areas is such that it does not attract or harbor significant wildlife populations. Interstate 35W borders the site to the west, Interstate 35W interchanges lie to the north and south, and a combination of residential housing, business, and industrial developments lie to the east. Ponding areas to the south and east may attract some waterfowl and waterbirds, but there are no significant ponding areas on the subject site other than the 8 small stormwater ponds scattered throughout. j Page 11
