<br />SELECTION CRITERIA FOR <br />PROPOSALS IN CA TEGORY E <br /> <br />100 possible points <br />Funded projects must score a minimum of 70 points on the criteria <br />to be funded. <br /> <br />1 . Potential to Result in A Demonstration Model <br />0-50 points <br /> <br />0-14 points Extent to which the proposal has potential, when added to the existing area, <br />for total numbers of population, jobs and activities sufficient to result in a <br />walkable environment accessible by transit and/or appropriate to the <br />criteria for compact-non-transit-oriented development; or the potential to <br />result in mixed residential development. <br /> <br />0-12 points Extent to which the site and situation has potential to address program <br />goals effectively and creatively. <br /> <br />0-12 points Extent to which the proposal demonstrates intent to address program goals <br />and an understanding of livable communities principles. <br /> <br />0-12 points Extent to which the proposal has political and/or community support <br /> <br />2. Regulatory and Implementation Solutions and Strategies <br />0-15 points <br /> <br />o Regulatory or policy solution(s) proposed to be addressed --for example, changing land <br />use regulations, developing design standards or parking standards -- and degree to <br />which the solutions(s) are likely to contribute to the success of the project. <br /> <br />3. Repl ication <br />0-15 points <br /> <br />o Extent to which the proposal has potential to include key characteristics or <br />components that can provide a model for replication in the same community or other <br />communities in the region; and/or <br /> <br />24 <br />
