.'

,;..

October 7, 1999

Susan Narveson
2978 Northview St.
Roseville, MN 55113

You are cordially invited to attend the Roseville Development Review Committee's
(DRC) Setback Permit Hearing on Thursday, October 17, at approximately 3:30 p.m. in
the Roseville City Hall Community Development Conference Room.

Eric Peterson, 2977 Woodbridge Street, has petitioned for a Setback Permit to allow the
construction of a driveway to encroach three (3) feet into the required five (5) foot side
yard setback. Due to a mishap in the field when the curb was recently constructed at this
property, its location was placed to within two (2) feet of the side yard property line. Mr.
Peterson constructed a garage and planned to pave the drive from the garage to the apron.
However, the City cannot issue a permit until either a Setback Permit or Variance is
granted. The proposal is to taper the driveway from the rear comer of the home a point
two feet from the side yard property line, thus matching into the concrete apron.

The Setback Permit process allows adjacent property owners the opportunity to comment
on the proposal in writing or affords them time to comment at the hearing. Should you
have any comments or questions about this particular Setback Permit application, please
feel free to attend the meeting on Thursday, October 14 or provide them to my attention.
My direct number is 651-490-2236.

If a decision to approve the request is made, a building permit can be issued in 10 days or
less depending on whether an appeal is filed by an adjacent property owner.

Sincerely

Thomas Paschke
CITY PLANNER
CITY of ROSEVILLE

en s: . ation and site plans.
Q:\Planning Files\3167 ]eterson Eric\Resident Notice Oct 14.doc

@)
(J~(b'7
