<br />CASE STUDY: CITY OF PLYMOUTH <br />(Task 105) <br /> <br />This case study will examine two commercial developments and the effect that a change in City <br />Ordinance, as well as attitude and policy, can have on the physical development of large retail <br />centers in close proximity to residential neighborhoods. <br /> <br />Following is a summary of two large retail developments the in the City of Plymouth. The first, <br />Rockford Road Plaza was built in 1991; the second, Plymouth Station was built in 1998/1999 <br />under a revised City Ordinance. <br /> <br />ROCKFORD ROAD PLAZA AND TARGET GREA TLAND <br /> <br />DESCRIPTION AND PHOTOS <br />Rockford Road Plaza retail center and Target Greatland were approved through the commercial <br />PUD process in 1990. The retail center (not including Target) has about 198,000 sq ft of structure <br />including a 24-hour Rainbow Foods.
