101 • Roseville will be launching a new website this fall. Staff are really excited about the <br />102 potential the new site will have and look for improved usability. <br />103 • Parks & Recreation will be hosting a community playground build at Langton Lake Park <br />104 (adjacent to the ball fields) on September 6. Kelly O'Brien, Roseville Volunteer <br />105 Coordinator, is working to secure volunteers for this event. <br />106 <br />107 Brokke reported; <br />108 • Youth Commissioner, Chloe Boehm has graduated. We will be working to fill the student <br />109 representative position over the next couple of months. <br />110 • Council Updates: <br />111 o Staff are working to address Council's request to outfit new buildings with <br />112 electronic access capabilities, security cameras and network connectivity. Staff <br />113 will be taking network connectivity information to the Council for their <br />114 consideration next week. <br />115 • Staff have continued discussions on the Mounds View school district property adjacent to <br />116 Autumn Grove Park. Council will be asked to extend the original purchase agreement to <br />117 continue due diligence to learn more about the ground conditions. <br />118 • The City Manager has presented his budget, items of interest related to Parks & <br />119 Recreation include; <br />120 o Recommendation of a full-time forestry position with an emphasis on tree <br />121 preservation and work in collaboration with Community Development. <br />122 o $25,000 to address EAB issues. <br />123 o Additional funding to support maintenance needs for the new park buildings. <br />124 <br />125 8. OTHER <br />126 • M. Holt updated the Commission on the upcoming FORParks event, Tapped and <br />127 Uncorked. 20 beverage distributors have agreed to attend as well as 7 food vendors. The <br />128 evening will feature music by High & Mighty and other activities. <br />129 • D. Holt recognized the recent community survey that shows a very favorable response to <br />130 questions addressing Parks & Recreation initiatives. <br />131 o Brokke mentioned that he will provide the Commission more information on the <br />132 survey findings at an upcoming meeting. <br />133 <br />134 Meeting adjourned at 9:25pm <br />135 <br />136 Respectfully Submitted, <br />137 Jill Anfang, Assistant Director <br />
