<br />REQUEST FOR CITY COUNCIL ACTION <br /> <br /> <br />DATE: 01/24/00 <br />ITEM NO: 1-2 <br /> <br />~~ppr9ved: ~genda Secti~n: <br />~ .I,and., Use <br />Robert Schroeder request for a minor subdivision (correction) allowing a <br />parcel addition onto the property located at 257 McCarrons Boulevard South. <br />(PF3187) <br /> <br />1.0 Requested Action <br /> <br />1.1 Robert Schroeder, 257 McCarrons Boulevard South is requesting a minor subdivision to <br />incorporate a 90 square foot triangular piece of property into his parcel. The property to be <br />incorporated currently has an access easement for Mr. Schroeder over it for the purpose of <br />ingress/egress to the site. <br /> <br />2.0 Background <br /> <br />2.1 Mr. Schroeder is in the process of selling his home at 257 McCarrons Boulevard and has <br />decided he would like to own the small triangular parcel. This decision requires the <br />inclusion of the current access easement, property owned by 210 McCarrons Boulevard <br />South, into Mr. Schroeder's parcel. <br /> <br />2.2 Section 1004.04.D outlines the procedure for a correction type of minor subdivision. No <br />hearing or Planning Commission review is necessary. If the request is approved, the City <br />Manager and Community Development Director review and approve the certificate of <br />survey, and then a quit claim deed is drafted and approved by the City to be recorded with <br />the Ramsey County Recorder by the applicant. <br /> <br />2.3 No lot, parcel, or existing building will be in violation ofthe City Code upon the completion <br />ofthe correction (parcel inclusion) process. No new buildable lot is being created. <br /> <br />3.0 Suggested Council Action <br /> <br />3.1 By motion, approve Robert Schroeder's request for a minor subdivision to incorporate a 90 <br />square foot triangular piece of property, currently designated with an access easement and <br />located on the parcel at 210 McCarrons Boulevard South, into the parcel at 257 McCarrons <br />Boulevard South. <br /> <br />Attachments: Property location map; proposed correction; application and letter requesting correction. <br />60-day Time Limit: application accepted on January 3, 2000; decision deadline is March 3, 2000. <br />Prepared by: Thomas Paschke (490-2236) <br />
