April 21, 2000

Dear Roseville Resident

You are cordially invited to attend the Roseville Development Review Committee's
(DRC) Setback Permit Hearing on Thursdav. April 27. at approximatelv 3:30 p.m. in the
Roseville City Hall Community Development Conference Room.

Robert Lester, 1275 Rose Place, has petitioned for a Setback Permit to allow the
construction of a shed two (2) feet into the into the required five (5) foot side yard
setback. The proposed construction requires a Setback Permit in order to place the
proposed shed three feet from the west. Mr. Lester has purchased all the materials and
received a building. However, was unaware that he could not place the structure closer
than five feet from his fence/property line. The proposed location allows Mr. Lester to
use the shed in association with an existing sidewalk and will afford him view of the
northwest comer of his lot.

The Setback Permit process allows adjacent property owners the opportunity to comment
on the proposal in writing or affords them time to comment at the hearing. Should you
have any comments or questions about this particular Setback Permit application, please
feel free to attend the meeting on Thursday, April 27 or provide them to my attention.
My direct number is 651-490-2236.

If a decision to approve the request is made, a building permit can be issued in 10 days or
less depending on whether an appeal is filed by an adjacent property owner.

Sincerely

Thomas Paschke
CITY PLANNER
CITY of ROSEVILLE

attachments: application and site plans.

Q:\Planning Files\3206_Lester.
