{fM~~~. . Lnillle LuIfthenm Clutreh I Jr ;,. ~; ." Dear Neighbors, It has been nearly four years since Roseville Lutheran Church opened it's new Worship Center. During the planning of the new Worship Center we included plans for approximately 300 additional seats in our balcony and the additional on-site parking required for the balcony seating. We chose to defer the construction of the balcony seating and required parking until such time that the seating was needed. Our attendance has continued to grow quickly and the time has come to implement our second phase, constructing additional seating in our balcony. It is the Church's desire to preserve as much of the Church's green space adjacent to Bruce Russell Park for as long as possible. Therefore, we have requested a Variance from the City of Roseville to allow us to construct the additional seating, while deferring the construction of some of the parking spaces required by the City's Parking Ordinance, until the Church determines they are needed. We are inviting you to a meeting to discuss the Church's plans and, in particular, options to increase parking without expanding our south parking lot to the east, into the Church's open green space adjoining Bruce Russell Park. One option would be to have church members park on the street up to two blocks from the church during the 9:30 and 11 a.m. Sunday services. Church officials have had preliminary conversations with city staff and have been encouraged to explore these alternatives. We would like a chance to meet with you, to share our plans and get your feedback before any decisions are made. We value your thoughts and ideas!
