(Section 1013.03) <br /> <br />Motion: Member Rhody moved, Member Egli seconded, to amend to substitute <br />4.2, to maintain a 5'0" setback from the property line. <br /> <br />Member Egli stated her concern for th elarge structure and water run off, more so <br />than existing landscaping. <br /> <br />Member Rhody asked why the discussion has moved from a conditional use <br />permit to a variance. <br /> <br />Member Mulder noted there are other options available for the setback and there <br />is no physical hardship. The future adjacent neighbors should also be protected <br />from a building of this size with a long wall. <br /> <br />On the amendment vote to maintain five-foot setback. <br /> <br />Ayes: Cunningham, Egli, Olson, Mulder, Klausing <br />Nays: Rhody, Wilke <br />Carried 5-2. <br /> <br />On the original main motion, as amended. <br /> <br />Ayes: Cunningham, Egli, Mulder, Klausing, Wilke <br />Nays: Olson, Rhody <br />Carried 5-2. <br /> <br />Member Olson stated her vote was because the accessory building is larger than <br />the house and sets a poor pattern for future and may decrease the property value <br />of the home. <br />
