<br />Not surprisingly, households in the 35 to 54 and 55 to 64 age groups are primarily home <br />owners, with 77.6 percent and 87.7 percent, respectively. Over two-thirds of the older <br />people, ages 65 and over, also live in their own homes, with 69.6 percent. This is well <br />over the percentage in -, where only 37 percent of the older people live in their own <br />homes. But it is lower than -, where 82.5 percent of the older people remain in their <br />single-family homes. Only the new households, ages 15 to 24, are primarily renters, with <br />89.3 percent renting their housing. <br /> <br />The high percentages of home ownership in - are reflective, of course, of the available <br />housing supply, which is over 70 percent owner-occupied. <br /> <br />13 <br />
