, .We are committed to work as a team with other city departments
And our community to provide innovative, effective and
Efficient service which will improve the quality of life in the City of Roseville.

interoffice memo

Date:

To:

From:

Subject:

5/4/00

Steve Sarkozy
Tom Alleva~
On-Street Parking Request by lake Ridge Health Care

From time to time citizens and businesses call and request
temporary permission to park where there are No Parking signs.
Requested times are usually short and specific - garage sale,
birthday party, resurface an apartment parking lot or a company
event for example.

Lake Ridge has requested permission to park on Victoria and on
Wood hill for about 30 days; May 15 to June 15, while they construct
an expanded parking lot on the north portion of their property. There
will be numerous vehicles involved, staff and visitors. In the past I
have granted parking on Woodhill for a one day or partial day event
at Lake Ridge. I am aware the neighbors on Wood hill requested the
street be signed No Parking some years ago, I believe in response
to on-street parking by Lake Ridge employees and visitors.

I asked Travis Palmquist, Lake Ridge Executive Director to give me
a written request in this case since I felt there would be complaints if
I allowed on-street parking for such a long time. Doug Strong feels
the same way, from his experience with the neighborhood and their
request for the No Parking signs.

I would like to help Lake Ridge, but believe I should not allow such
long term on-street parking.
