EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL CITY OF ROSEVILLE, RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a meeting of the City Council of the City of Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota, was duly held in the City Hall at 2660 Civic Center Drive, Roseville, Minnesota, on Monday, the 10th day of June, 2002, at 5:30 p.m. The following members were present: Kough, Klausing, Schroeder, Maschka, Kysylyczyn and the following members were absent: None Member Kough introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 10000 A RESOLUTION INVITING THE KNIGHT-RIDDER PLANNING PROGRAM OF THE UNIVERSITY OF MIAMI TO UTILIZE THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE AS A STUDY SITE FOR FALL 2002 PLANNING AND CHARRETTE PROGRAM WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Roseville places a high priority on establishing quality oflife programs and policies, and WHEREAS, the City of Roseville encourages long term visions, high quality design, and community planning, and WHEREAS, the City of Roseville encourages participation by residents and business owners in community planning and implementation programs, and WHEREAS, the City of Roseville deems it to be in the public interest to encourage community development and private investment which links jobs and housing, improves transportation and transit and recycles underused and brownfield lands, and WHEREAS, the City of Roseville has been invited to submit a proposal to host the Knight-Ridder Planning Program of the University of Miami to study an 1100 acre Suburban Activity Center including the Rosedale Regional Mall and supporting centers and business parks, transportation, and residential areas. NOW THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Roseville hereby formally invites the Knight-Ridder Planning Program ofthe University of Miami to propose, sponsor, and participate in a planning program utilizing the City of Roseville as a study site for fall 2002 planning and charrette program. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Council Member Schroeder, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Kough, Klausing, Schroeder, Maschka, Kysylyczyn and the following voted against the same: None WHEREUPON said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
