In the case of the demolition of building and asbestos removal and site restoration for
2800 Arona site, the lowest bidder is Carl Bolander & Sons Co. of S1. Paul, Minnesota.

3.0 FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS

Seven bids were received. The community development staffs estimate for the demolition of
building and asbestos removal and site restoration for 2800 Arona site was approximately
$125,000 The low bid submitted by Carl Bolander & Sons Co. is $86,000 or approximately 30
percent lower than the community development estimate. Contract costs for the demolition of
building and asbestos removal and site restoration for 2800 Arona will be funded with housing
or other identified fund dollars that would be recaptured as part of the future redevelopment of
the site.

PF3235 - RCA (10/23/00) - Page 1 of 2

"
