I have received your August 23, 2000 letter, and would like to <br />respond on behalf of the owner, Engelsma Limited Partnership. <br /> <br />Your letter suggests that the Partnership is seeking some sort of rezoning for RamUne Shopping <br />Center, but the Partnership in fact is not requesting a rezoning. The property is zoned as a <br />Shopping Center District, and the proposed bingo hall operation can be part of the Shopping <br />Center, pursuant to the Roseville City Code, under a conditional use permit. Therefore, the <br />Partnership is seeking only a conditional use permit. <br /> <br />The Partnership also disagrees with your interpretation of the Declaration of Easements and <br />Covenants dated September 15, 1983, pertaining to the RamUne Shopping Center and the <br />RamUne Office Building. The addition of the lease to the charitable bingo organizations will not <br />in any way change the use of the property as a shopping center. The Partnership's legal counsel <br />has spoken with your attorney, Kareen Ecklund, to see if some understanding can be reached <br />between the Partnership and the RamUne Office Building.
