<br />Midway Speed Skating <br /> <br />Midway Skating Club has been in existence since 1946. In 1950 we began sponsoring <br /> <br /> <br />Bingo as a means of fundraising to help offset the expenses incurred with the sport of <br /> <br /> <br />speedskating, thus enabling any child to participate regardless of financial status. <br /> <br />Bingo has and continues to be a very social expenence for the customers and <br /> <br />although the gam~ has changed in regards to technical application due to regulation, many <br />continue to participate as a recreational activity. <br /> <br />Midway currently employees 18 people, most who have worked in this industry for <br /> <br />many years. On a daily basis, an average of 160 people participate, adding up to over 1100 <br /> <br />people weekly who draw enjoyment from the conduct of Bingo. <br />
