<br /> <br /> <br />Roseville will be launching a new website this fall. Staff are really excited about the <br />potential the new site will have and look for improved usability. <br /> <br /> <br />Parks & Recreation will be hosting a community playground build at Langton Lake Park <br />(adjacent to the ball fields) on September 6. Kelly O’Brien, Roseville Volunteer <br />Coordinator, is working to secure volunteers for this event. <br /> <br />Brokke reported; <br /> <br /> <br />Youth Commissioner, Chloe Boehm has graduated. We will be working to fill the student <br />representative position over the next couple of months. <br /> <br /> <br />Council Updates: <br /> <br />Staff are working to address Council’s request to outfit new buildings with <br />o <br />electronic access capabilities, security cameras and network connectivity. Staff <br />will be taking network connectivity information to the Council for their <br />consideration next week. <br /> <br /> <br />Staff have continued discussions on the Mounds View school district property adjacent to <br />Autumn Grove Park. Council will be asked to extend the original purchase agreement to <br />continue due diligence to learn more about the ground conditions. <br /> <br /> <br />The City Manager has presented his budget, items of interest related to Parks & <br />Recreation include; <br /> <br />Recommendation of a full-time forestry position with an emphasis on tree <br />o <br />preservation and work in collaboration with Community Development. <br /> <br />$25,000 to address EAB issues. <br />o <br /> <br />Additional funding to support maintenance needs for the new park buildings. <br />o <br /> <br /> <br />8.OTHER <br /> <br /> <br />M. Holt updated the Commission on the upcoming FORParks event, Tapped and <br />Uncorked. 20 beverage distributors have agreed to attend as well as 7 food vendors. The <br />evening will feature music by High & Mighty and other activities. <br /> <br /> <br />D.
