<br />July 28, 2000 <br /> <br />City of Roseville <br />Community Development <br />2660 Civic Center Drive <br />Roseville, MN 55113 <br /> <br />Dear Community Development Department: <br /> <br />Enclosed is a blueprint of our proposed garage, along with a copy of a survey of our property. <br />Also sketched on the survey is our current driveway and sidewalk. The double lines outlining <br />the driveway (closest to the house) represent an 18 inch high retaining wall. The dotted line <br />represents the proposed driveway. Our plan is to tear down the existing shed and replace it with <br />the proposed two-car garage. Our existing attached one and a half car garage is no longer <br />serving the growing needs of our family. We are in great need of additional vehicle storage. <br /> <br />We would like to place this garage two feet from the property line to keep it as far away as <br />possible from the lake while still keeping the drip line on our property. This would make it 8.5 <br />feet from the existing chain link fence separating our property from the adjacent property. <br />Between the proposed garage and the chain link fence is a row of mature cottonwood trees. <br /> <br />We intend to finish the exterior of the garage with stucco which will blend with the existing <br />stucco exterior of our home. The home and proposed garage should complement each other <br />nicely . We also intend to landscape around the garage to make it further blend with the <br />surroundings. <br /> <br />Please do give our proposal serious consideration. Our current vehicle storage situation has <br />been a significant hardship on our family.
