Attachment C <br />Residential Organized Waste Hauler Collections 60-day Negotiations <br />Wednesday, May 7, 2014 <br />City of St. Anthony City Hall <br />3301 Silver Lake Road <br />St. Anthony, MN 55418 <br /> <br />City Priorities <br />The City of Saint Anthony Village will use the following priorities as the basis for negotiating and <br />developing a proposal with licensed collectors. These priorities may also be considered by an organized <br />collection options committee, if established, for future evaluations of organized collection options, <br />alternative collection methods and structures, and other implementation decisions about trash and <br />recycling collection system improvements. <br />(in alphabetical order) <br />1. Allocate Adequate Staff Resources <br />Saint Anthony will continue to assure adequate City staff resources are tasked with solid waste <br />management responsibilities, including recycling programs and services. <br />2. Assure All Residents Have Adequate Trash and Recycling Services <br />The City will enhance monitoring of trash and recycling systems provided to residential dwellings to <br />assure all residents have adequate services as required by Minnesota State law and Hennepin and <br />Ramsey County policies. <br />3. Enhance Coordination Among Government Agencies <br />The City will optimize the use of Hennepin and Ramsey County resources and continue to coordinate <br />public education programs and services with the County and other agencies. <br />4. Enhance Public Education and Awareness <br />The City will use public education as an essential strategy to achieve improved waste reduction and <br />recycling. <br /> <br />
