Regular Planning Commission Meeting <br />Minutes – Wednesday, October 2, 2013 <br />Page 9 <br />MOTION <br />398 <br />Member Cunningham moved, seconded by Member Stellmach to recommend to the City <br />399 <br />Council APPROVAL of the outdoor area as a CONDITIONAL USE for an animal boarding <br />400 <br />and day care facility at 2025 Rice Street; based on the comments and findings of Sections <br />401 <br />4, 6 and 7, and the recommendation and conditions of Section 8 of the staff report dated <br />402 <br />October 2, 2013; <br />amending Section 8.2.d of the staff report to read: <br />403 <br /> “The outdoor activity area shall be thoroughly cleansed and rinsed at least once each day <br />404 <br />during warm weather, and as soon as practicable after periods of freezing weather, with all <br />405 <br />of the rinse water being directed into a rain garden \[or other solution\] approved by the <br />406 <br />City’s engineering staff.” <br />407 <br />MOTION <br />408 <br />The maker and the seconder of the original motion agreed to redraft the motion to apply <br />409 <br />only to Section 8.2 of the staff report. <br />410 <br />Ayes: 6 <br />411 <br />Nays: 0 <br />412 <br />Motion carried. <br />413 <br />VOTE ON REDRAFTED ORIGINAL MOTION <br />414 <br />Ayes: 6 <br />415 <br />Nays: 0 <br />416 <br />Motion carried. <br />417 <br />Member Cunningham encouraged the Woof Room owners to continue discussion with their <br />418 <br />neighbors regarding any other problems; opining that otherwise, she was comfortable that most <br />419 <br />of the conditions are on the current property and seem to be effective; and reiterated her strong <br />420 <br />support of the request as amended. <br />421 <br />City Council action on this item is scheduled for Monday, October 21, 2013. <br />422 <br />6.
