<br />Planning Commission Regular Meeting <br />City Council Chambers, 2660 Civic Center Drive <br />Minutes – Thursday, April 10, 2014 <br /> <br />1. Call to Order <br />1 <br />Chair John Gisselquist called to order the regular meeting of the Planning Commission meeting at <br />2 <br />approximately 6:30 p.m. and reviewed the role and purpose of the Planning Commission. <br />3 <br />2. Roll Call & Introduction <br />4 <br />At the request of Chair Gisselquist, City Planner Thomas Paschke called the Roll. <br />5 <br />Members Present: <br /> Chair John Gisselquist; and Commissioners James Daire; David <br />6 <br />Stellmach; Robert Murphy; Michael Boguszewski; Mohamed Keynan; <br />7 <br />and Shannon Cunningham <br />8 <br />Staff Present: <br /> City Planner Thomas Paschke and Senior Planner Bryan Lloyd <br />9 <br />3. Organizational Business <br />10 <br />a. Recommended Appointment of Chair and V ice Chair to Planning Commission <br />11 <br />Current Planning Commission Chair Gisselquist and Vice Chair Boguszewski both <br />12 <br />expressed their interest in continuing to serve in those roles for 2014. <br />13 <br />MOTION <br />14 <br />Member Boguszewski moved, seconded by Member Cunningham, to approve the <br />15 <br />election of Commissioner Gisselquist and Commissioner Boguszewski as Chair <br />16 <br />and Vice Chair of the Planning Commission respectively. <br />17 <br />Ayes: 7 <br />18 <br />Nays: 0 <br />19 <br />Motion carried. <br />20 <br />b. Appointment of Variance Board Members (3 regular members and 1 alternate) <br />21 <br />Planning Commissioners currently serving on the Variance Board expressed their interest <br />22 <br />in continuing to serve in those roles for 2014. <br />23 <br />MOTION <br />24 <br />Member Boguszewski moved, seconded by Member Stellmach to approve the <br />25 <br />election of Planning Commissioners Boguszewski, Murphy and Cunningham; with <br />26 <br />Alternate Daire to serve on the Variance Board. <br />27 <br />Ayes: 7 <br />28 <br />Nays: 0 <br />29 <br />Motion carried. <br />30 <br />4. Review of Minutes: March 5, 2014 Regular Meeting Minutes <br />31 <br />MOTION <br />32 <br />Member Murphy moved, seconded by Member Boguszewski to approve the March <br />33 <br />5, 2014 meeting minutes as amended <br />. <br />34 <br />Corrections: <br />35 <br />Typographical and grammatical comments and corrections were submitted via e- <br />36 <br />mail by Member Daire to staff prior to tonight’s meeting for administrative <br />37 <br />incorporation into the final minutes. <br />38 <br />Page 11, Line 555 <br />39 <br />Maker of the motion was Member Boguszewski <br />40 <br />Ayes: 6 <br />41 <br />Nays: 0 <br />42 <br />Abstentions: 1 (Keynan) <br />43 <br />Motion carried. <br />44 <br /> <br />
