<br />REQUEST FOR CITY COUNCIL ACTION <br /> <br />Department Approval: <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />Manager Approved: <br />rff <br /> <br />DATE: 01/08/01 <br />ITEM NO: C-2 <br />Agenda Section: <br />CONSENT <br /> <br />Item Description: Annual City Event Sign Permits for 2001 (PF3286) <br /> <br />1.0 BACKGROUND <br /> <br />1.1 It is the City policy to annually approve sign permits for city events by multiple <br />departments at one time for the coming year. The City Code, Signage Section <br />1009.03 Ilstates that all permanent or other signage must be approved by the City <br />Council. <br /> <br />1.2 Roseville' s Community Development Department has previously issued temporary <br />permits or assumed when the Council approved the event, it included approval of the <br />signage promoting it and providing direction. <br /> <br />1.3 In year 2001, the Departments prepared the attached list of signage for the entire <br />year, recognizing that some events may change dates or times slightly. <br /> <br />1.4 The signs and displays must adhere to setback provisions, except for directional <br />signage, which may be at the property line. <br /> <br />2.0 STAFF RECOMMENDATIONS <br />2.1 Staff recommends the Council approve the 2001 sign permit for city uses and <br />promotions as listed in the attached sheets. <br /> <br />3.0 SUGGESTED COUNCIL ACTION <br /> <br />3.1 By motion, approve the 2001 sign permit for city uses and promotions as listed in the <br />attached sheets. <br /> <br />Q:\Planning Files\3286 _City Signs-200 I \RCAO I 080 I.doc <br /> <br />1 <br />
