The City of Roseville made an offer to purchase your home in 1998 under the voluntary Housing <br />Replacement Program. As part of the program an inspection and appraisal were conducted on your home <br />at the City ofRoseville's expense and an offer was made for $53,000 per a letter dated February 20, 1998. <br />At that time you decided to remain in your home and the offer was not accepted. <br /> <br />Since this is a continuation of a past request the City will not be required to conduct another inspection <br />and appraisal of your home. We are however prepared to offer you $55,000 for your home, which is a <br />$2,000 increase from 1998. We believe this is a fair price for many reasons: <br /> <br />~ The City will pay cash at closing and can expedite the closing within 30 days after Council approval. <br />~ Your 2000 assessed value has remained constant at $46,500. We are prepared to pay you an <br />additional $2,000 over the 1998 offer for the small about of improvements you have made to your <br />home. <br />~ You will be able to collect the entire $55,000, less minimal closing costs, since there will be no <br />Realtor commission on the transaction. A Realtor would typically charge 7-10 percent of the sales <br />. . . <br />pnce as a commISSIon. <br /> <br />Upon acceptance of this offer a purchase agreement will be prepared for final City Council consideration. <br />The upcoming City Council meetings are April 23 and May 14.
