EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting ofthe City Council of the City of Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota, was duly called and held at the City Hall on Monday, the 14th day of May, 2001 at 6:30 p.m. The following members were present: Maschka, Goedeke, Klausing, Mastel and Kysylyczyn and the following were absent: None Member Kysylyczyn introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 9887 CITY OF ROSEVILLE COUNTY OF HENNEPIN STATE OF MINNESOTA RESOLUTION APPROVING A COOPERATION AGREEMENT WITH THE METROPOLITAN COUNCIL FOR THE ACQUISITION AND OPERATION OF RESIDENTIAL PROPERTIES IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE METROPOLITAN COUNCIL'S FAMILY AFFORDABLE HOUSING PROGRAM AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY ADMINISTRATOR TO EXECUTE THE COOPERATION AGREEMENT ON BEHALF OF THE CITY. WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Council is authorized by Minnesota Statutes section 473.195 to exercise the functions, rights, duties, privileges, immunities and limitations as are provided for housing and redevelopment authorities created for municipalities; and WHEREAS, in conjunction with the implementation of its Family Affordable Housing Program ("F AHP"), the Metropolitan Council proposes to acquire and administer residential properties ("FAHP Units") within the boundaries of the City, up to thirty percent of which units will be made available to eligible residents of the City; and WHEREAS, Minnesota Statutes section 473.195, subdivision I requires the Metropolitan Council to obtain the approval of the governing body of the City before the Metropolitan Council may implement its proposed housing initiative within the boundaries of the City; and WHEREAS, federal law requires the Metropolitan Council to enter into a Cooperation Agreement with the City in connection with the proposed acquisition and operation of the FAHP Units. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council that pursuant to Minnesota Statutes section 473.195 the City Council gives its prior approval to the Metropolitan Council's proposal to acquire and administer up to fifteen (15) FAHP Units within the boundaries of the City; and BE IT FUTHER RESOLVED, by the City Council that the Mayor and the City Administrator are authorized to execute the Cooperation Agreement on behalf of the City.
