<br />Facilities <br /> <br />Library <br /> <br />The AAAOM Library, with over 1,000 acupuncture and Chinese medicine- <br />related books and videos in English, as well as a comprehensive collection of <br />over 100 professional journals, including the monthly, bimonthly and quarterly <br />journals of all Chinese medicine universities is available to students during class <br />hours and at other times by request. In addition, the library contains more than <br />2,000 Chinese language acupuncture and Chinese medicine texts, and holds <br />numerous three-dimensional physiological and acupuncture models for student <br />use. AAAOM library is organized under such subjects as Acupuncture, Chinese <br />Herbology, Chinese Clinical Medicine, Chinese Culture and Business, General <br />Chinese Medicine, BioMedicine, General Complementary Medicine and <br />Nutrition and Diet. AAAOM's goal is to have the most complete traditional <br />Chinese medicine library outside of China. <br /> <br />Clinic <br /> <br />The AAAOM Faculty/Student Clinic provides acupuncture, Chinese herbal <br />medicine, and other TCM treatment modalities, and is open to the public, <br />Monday through Saturday. Evening hours are also available. Student clinical <br />practice is divided into three stages: Observation, Group Practice and <br />Independent Practice. Requirements for clinical observation and hands-on <br />experience are provided by leading professors and practitioners at <br />Faculty/Student Clinic of the AAAOM. <br /> <br />Herbal Pharmacy <br /> <br />The Faculty/Student Clinic maintains and operates a Chinese herbal pharmacy <br />as a service to patients and education of our students, who fill herbal <br />prescriptions during their Clinic shifts. The pharmacy stocks most commonly <br />used Chinese herbs and patent medicine. <br /> <br />47 <br />
