-2-

We find it interesting that of the neighborhood residents from whom

the petitioners secured approvals, most live out of view of the property.

So, it has no effect on them. One signee to the petitioners' re-zoning request

resides on Oxford Street completely out of sight of the property.

We also find it L~teresting that in her petition, Kathleen Agness stated -- quote __

itA meeting was held with residents of the neil2'hborhood on June 20th, 2001.

Many of the residents were surprised that commercial use was not allowed,

and were generally supportive of changing the Comprehensive Land Use Plan. The only people to attend that June 20th

Open House were myself--Roger Dunnette--rny wife--Jeanette--and Sally Goodroad,

our neighbor immediately to the east. None of us supported the re-zoning request,

and said so at the time.

So, where this "generally supportive" sentiment was generated is a mystery to us.

The neighbors from whom Schorn Realty secured approvals did not show up

to voice those approvals at this Open House on June 20th.

As a gesture of compromise, we told Kathleen Agness at the June 20th meeting
that We had no animosity toward them and would support their remaining in the
former Rymer Music Academy if' they could secure from the city a special use 'Oermit,
for their use on],y, with the current zoning.

It is ironic that a realtor gave another realtor such poor advice, and that

they opened their business based on such advice.

(more )
