The question was raised a~ the Octcber 4, 1989, Planning
Commission meeting about the lack of dedication in 1979 of
additional right-of-way 10r Dale street f~~~ Kenneth Re~nhardt's
apa..-tment building at the corner of Dale street and {:.:>unty Road
B-2. It is strange that no right-of-way was ac~~ired on this
lot, while right-of-way was acquired on thp. two lots to the south
which were developed in 1963 and ~968.

To: Rick Jopke, Planning and Zoning AdminisT.rator

From~ Karl P. Kee., Assistant Public Works Director \1~
'." ,

Re: RIGHT-OF-WAY DEDICATION ALONG DALE STREET

Date: October 17, 1989

wnile compiling information relating to Dale street right-of-way,
I talked with Joe Peroutka of Ramsey coun~y. Mr. Pe~outka is in
charge of right-of-way. The county's comprehensive plan for
right-of-way along this segnent of D~le St~eet has always been 86
feet with ~~e exception of a short period of time, approximately
12 years a~~. when the comprehensive plan showed 9S feet for this
segment of Dale street. Mr. Peroutka reaffirmed the current
right-of-way plan needs at 86 feet,

As a matter of practice, the city has been fairly consistent in
acquiring right-of-way when needed. Therefore, we do not
understand why tile additional right-of-way on the parcel at the
corner of Dale Street and Couuty Road 3-2 was nct ac~~ired.
