<br />EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING <br />OF CITY COUNCIL <br />CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br />RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Roseville, <br />Minnesota, was duly held in the City Hall at 2660 Civic Center Drive, Roseville, Minnesota, on <br />Monday, the 19th day of August, 2002, at 7:00 o'clock p.m. <br /> <br />The following members were present: Maschka, Kough and Klausing and the following members were <br />absent: Kysylyczsyn and Schroeder. <br /> <br />Councilmember Maschka introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 10022 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION REJECTING BIDS <br />FOR SW-01-14 RICE STREET SIDEWALK <br /> <br />Whereas, pursuant to advertisement for bids for the improvement, according to the plans and <br />specifications thereof on file in the office of the Manager of said City, said bids were received on <br />Wednesday, July 16, 2002, at 11 :00 a.m., opened and tabulated according to law and the following bids <br />were received complying with the advertisement: <br /> <br />BIDDER AMOUNT <br />L. S. Black $67,552.80 <br />Environmental Associates, Inc $68,799.00 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, L. S. Black Constructors was the lowest bidder, at $67,552.80; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this project was to be funded through a CDBG grant of $55,000; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, no additional funding is available for the project. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Roseville, Minnesota that <br />the bids solicited for shall be rejected, and City Staff should explore other ways to construct the <br />proposed project. <br /> <br />The motion was seconded by Councilmember Kough and upon vote being taken thereon, the following <br />voted in favor thereof: Maschka, Kough and Klausing and the following voted against: none <br /> <br />Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. <br />
