EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota, was held on the 19th day of August, 2002, at 6:30 p.m. The following members were present: Maschka, Kough, Klausing and the following were absent: Schroeder, Kysylyczyn Council Member Maschka introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 10027 A RESOLUTION APPROVING A VARIANCE TO SECTION 1004.01A6 (MAXIMUM TOTAL SURFACE AREA) OF THE ROSEVILLE CITY CODE FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT 592 SEXTANT AVENUE (PF 3418). WHEREAS, Mr. Tim Golie has requested a variance to Section 1004.01A6 (Maximum Total Surface Area) in order to construct an porch addition on to the existing home; and WHEREAS, the Golie's property is located at 592 Sextant Avenue and legally described at as: Lot 3, Block 1, Tuerk's Outback, Roseville, MN, PID#122923230049 WHEREAS, Section 1004.01A6limÍts each residential lot in Roseville to a maximum impervious coverage of 30%; and WHEREAS, Tim Golie's parcel currently occupies more than 30% impervious area (structures and pavement surfaces); and WHEREAS, Tim Golie desires to construct certain home improvements including a porch addition to the existing home; and WHEREAS, said existing and new improvements exceed the maximum total surface area allowed by Section 1004.01A6 by 622 square feet or 6%; and WHEREAS, the Roseville Planning Commission held the public hearing regarding the variance request by Tim Golie on August 7,2002, and recommended (5-0) approval of the request, based on findings outlined in Section 5 and conditions of Section 6 of the project report dated August 7,2002. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the Roseville City Council, to grant Tim Golie 622 square foot (6%) variance to Section l004.01A6 of the Roseville City Code based on the findings in Section 5 of the project report dated August 19,2002, and subject to the following conditions: a. All building and site improvements shall not exceed 3,934 square feet of impervious area. b. The review and approval of a building permit consistent with the approved plans and vanance. c. The installation of roof gutters to properly direct roof drainage away from the adjacent properties. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Council Member Kough and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor: Maschka, Kough, Klausing and the following voted against: None WHEREUPON said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. 1
