Schaut-Kasa 940 Lovell Avenue Roseville, MN 55113 RE: Setback Permit for construction of a porch covering a deck in the front yard Dear Ms. Schaut-Kasa On November 8, 2001, the City of Roseville Development Review Committee (DRC) held a hearing on your request to allow construction of a porch that would cover a deck in the front yard of your property addressed above. The Setback Permit you requested specifically sought a three- foot encroachment into the required front yard setback as determined by the Community Development Department in a letter dated October 30,2001. The DRC reviewed your development plans and recommended that the request be approved with conditions. The purpose of this letter is to inform you that I have concurred with the reasoning set forth by the DRC and have approved the Setback Permit. 1 also concur with the DRC conditions attached to the setback permit, which are as follows: · A building permit must be applied for and issued by the City ofRoseville. · Gutters must be installed where possible to properly direct roof drainage on the property. · The encroachment is limited to three feet of 27 feet from the front property line. Verification of the front property line is necessary. The required 10-day appeal time line has been waived because of the provision of a letter of support from the effected property. owners not opposing the proposal.
