CO~SENT. <br />Item Descnption: City InItIated request for a 60-day plan reVIew extensIOn regardmg the <br />request by the Minnesota State Fair for an interim Use Permit for seven <br />park-n-ride lots in Roseville (PF3370). <br /> <br />1.0 REQUESTED ACTION: <br /> <br />1.1 The Community Development Department is seeking an extension to the 60-day review <br />deadline for the Minnesota State Fair Interim Use Permit requests. <br /> <br />2.1 This extension becomes necessary due to the application submittal date, new Planning <br />Commission and City Council meeting schedules, and additional infonnation necessary <br />to formalize any approval. <br /> <br />2.0 BACKGROUND: <br /> <br />2.1 The application packet was submitted to the Community Development Department the <br />week of December 17,2001. The City Planner, however, did not receive the application <br />for review until December 26, 2001. <br /> <br />2.2 Regardless of when the application was reviewed for completeness, it was initially <br />submitted too late to be placed on the January 2, 2001 agenda and has since been <br />forwarded to the Commission's February 6, 2002 meeting. <br /> <br />2.3 The application was determined complete on December 26,2001, but still needs legal <br />descriptions for each site. The acceptance of the application (December 18,2001) set in <br />motion the 60-day review, which review will expire on February 16,2002. <br /> <br />2.4 The City Council meeting at which this request would be heard is anticipated to be <br />February 25,2002, which occurs after the review deadline date. <br /> <br />2.2 Faced with a difficult timeline and changes in the Planning Commission and City Council <br />meeting dates, the Community Development Department seeks an extension of this <br />application from February 16,2002 to April 17, 2002. <br /> <br />3.0 STAFF RECOMMENDATION <br /> <br />3.1 In order to provide the City Council with proper information necessary to fully consider <br />the Minnesota State Fair request, the Community Development Department requests <br />approval of a 60-day plan review extension pursuant to Minnesota Statutes 15.99. <br /> <br />PF3370 ReA (0128/02) - Page 1 of2 <br />
