<br />* Traffic violations (speeding and 11111ning STOP signs), and garbage thrown onto <br />neighborhood streets and lawns increases noticeably coincident with the use of the <br />parking lot for Park-N-Ride. Although St. Rose of Lima volunteers and/or the MN State <br />Fair staff monitor garbage cans placed in the parking lot, this does not alleviate the <br />increased problems for the neighbors. <br />Q Overflow parking, while infrequent, has been directed onto residential streets. This has <br />resulted in problems with residential parking, noise and garbage for neighborhood <br />residents. St. Rose of Lima men's club members have been unconcerned/hostile when <br />requested to redirect overflow cars to other Park-N-Ride lots. I t should be noted that <br />many/all of the members of this men's group reside outside the immediate neighborhood, <br />and are unaffected by their actions. <br /> <br />I submit the following request for issuance of this Park-N-Ride permit: <br />@ All MN State Fair bus traffic be restricted to Hamline Ave. <br />o Consideration be given to use of the Hamline Ave. entrance/exit to the parking lot instead <br />of routing traffic on residential streets. <br />It Use of the Park-N-Ride lot be restricted to Mondays - Fridays, as in the past. <br />(l Overflow traffic be directed to other Park-N-Ride lots. Residents receive temporary <br />parking permits to distinguish residential cars for police patrols. <br />~ St. Rose of Lima Church supervisory staff and/or MN State Fair staff be required to <br />provide daily clean-up of surrounding streets and lawns during the duration of the MN <br />State Fair. <br />c City ofRoseville Police be requested to increase patrol of the following residential streets <br />for traffic violations, patiicularly speeding, during duration of the MN State Fair: <br />o Hamline Ave. between Larpenteur Ave. and County Road B <br />o Dellwood Ave. between Roselawn Ave. and County Road B <br />o Eldridge Ave. between Hamline Ave. and Lexington Ave. <br />o Skillman Ave. between Hamline Ave. and Lexington Ave. <br />o Fernwood Ave. between Larpenteur Ave. and County Road B <br /> <br />I look forward to hearing the details of this permit decision.
