Through the utilization of this approach, ,the Ramsey County <br />suburbs compete within themselves, not on a State wide basis. <br /> <br />3 . <br /> <br />Roseville has chosen to participate in thi1 project, and <br />benefitted from the program in a significant manner. <br />City has continued to participate in the program <br />agreements were signed in both 1985 and 1986. <br /> <br />has <br />The <br />as <br /> <br />4. The City could opt out of the program and compete on a State <br />wide basis for community Development Block Grant funds. <br /> <br />Financial Implications: <br /> <br />1. The Block Grant program has provided assistance for projects <br />in the city that would not have moved forward without block <br />grant assistance. <br /> <br />Staff Recommendation: <br /> <br />1. It is recommended that Roseville continue to participate in <br />the Ramsey County Block Grant system and thus, the resolution <br />should be approved. <br /> <br />Council Action Requested: <br /> <br />1. Motion to approve Resolution: Joint cooperative agreement <br />for Ramsey County Community Development Block Grants. <br />
