<br />A: Existing/Current Interpretation <br />Principal Structure Setback 75 feet or current location from OHW; 50 <br /> feet from a delineated wetland. <br />Fence Setback 75 feet or to the existing principal <br /> structure and/or deck setback on the lake <br /> side/wetland. <br />Fence Height maximum heil!ht of 6-112 feet. <br />Fence Design no requirement. <br /> <br />B: Proposed Text Amendment - <br />Includes Planning Commission <br />Language <br />Principal Structure Setback 75 feet or current location from OHW; 50 <br /> feet from a delineated wetland. <br />Setback for Fence up to 6-1/2 feet; and more 75 feet or to the existing principal <br />than 25% opaque structure and/or deck setback on the lake <br /> side/wetland. <br />Setback for Fence - up to 42 inches and no 25 feet from OHW, or the bluff edge, or <br />greater than 25% opaque, to the edl!e of delineated wetland. <br />Fence Design Earthtone and clad. <br /> <br />Please see attached graphic that identifies existing and proposed conditions. <br /> <br />3.0 STAFF RECOMMENDATION: <br /> <br />3.1 The Community Development Department recommends the Council reopen the ordinance <br />second reading, discuss the Planning Commission's recommendation, invite citizen <br />comments. <br />3.2 The Council should consider the comments of the Planning Commission and decide <br />which alternative to use (allow two types and setbacks of fences; or only at the 75 foot <br />setback). <br />3.3 The Council should approve the amendment for inclusion in the second and final reading <br />of the ordinance amendment to Section 1016 of the Roseville City Code on August 19, <br />2002. Draft ordinance attached for review and discussion. <br /> <br />4.0 SUGGESTED ACTION: <br /> <br />4.1 Open second reading and seek public input. <br /> <br />4.2 By motion, decide which ordinance language is necessary for regulating fence types, <br />heights, and locations for parcels adjacent shoreland and wetland areas.
