<br />ORDINANCE NO. <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE 10, SECTION 1016, SHORELAND <br />DISTRICT, BY ADDING LANGUAGE WHICH DEFINES FENCES AS <br />STRUCTURES \VHEN PLACED IN THE SHORELAND DISTRICT AND <br />PROHIBITS PLACEMENT OF FENCES SHOREWARD OF THE.: PRINCIPAL <br />STRUCTURE OR ANY PERMITTED DECK. <br /> <br />THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE ORDAINS: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. Purpose. The Roseville City Code, Title 10, Section 1016, is hereby <br />amended by adding or revising language necessary to define fences as structures within <br />the Shoreland District and to provide additional regulation regarding their placement on <br />property with water frontage. The purpose of this ordinance is to provide visual access, <br />private open space, and reduced impacts of' man-made structures within the non-buildable <br />portion of the Shore land I)istrict, between the principal structure and the shore line. <br /> <br />SECTION 2. Section 1016.05 (Definitions) is hereby amended as follows: <br /> <br />STRUCTURE: Any building or appurtenance, including attached or detached <br />decks ;tnd fences. "Structure" docs not include aerial or underground utility lines, <br />such as sewer, electric, telephone, telegraph, gas lines, towers, poles, seasonal <br />docks, and other supporting facilities such as at-grade driveways and patios. <br /> <br />SECTION 3. Section 1016.16 B.
