ORDINANCE NO. AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE 10, SECTION 1016, SHORELAND DISTRICT, BY ADDING LANGUAGE WHICH DEFINES FENCES AS STRUCTURES WHEN PLACED IN THE SHORELAND DISTRICT AND PROHIBITS PLACEMENT OF FENCES SHOREWARD OF THE PRINCIPAL STRUCTURE OR ANY PERMITTED DECK. 'rHE CITY OF ROSEVILLE ORDAINS: SECTION 1. Purpose. The Roseville City Code, Title 10, Section 1016, is hereby amended by adding or revising language necessary to define fences as structures within the Shoreland District and to provide additional regulation regarding their placement on propel1y with water frontage. The purpose of this ordinance is to provide visual access, private open space, and reduced impacts of man-made structures within the non-buildable portion of the Shoreland District, between the principal structure and the shore line. SECTION 2. Section 1016.05 (Definitions) is hereby amended as follows: STRUCTURE: Any building or appurtenance, including decks and fences. "Structure" does not include aerial or underground utility lines, such as sewer, electric, telephone, telegraph, gas lines, towers, poles seasonal docks, and other supporting facilities such as at-grade driveways and patios. SECTION 3. Section 1016.16 B. (Additional Structure Standards For hereby amended by adding the following subsection 3 as follows: SecJiQ.!LLQ19J QJ3 3.
