<br />REQUEST FOR CITY COUNCIL ACTION <br /> <br />DATE: 01/07/02 <br />ITEM NO: <br /> <br />Department Approval: <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />Manager Approved: <br /> <br />Agenda Section: <br />CONSENT <br /> <br />Item Description: <br /> <br />Annual City Event Sign Permits for 2002 (PF3371) <br /> <br />1.0 BACKGROUND: <br /> <br />1.1 It is the City policy to annually approve sign permits for city events by multiple <br />departments at one time for the coming year. The City Code, Signage Section <br />1009.03 I, states that all permanent or other signage must be approved by the City <br />Council. <br /> <br />1.2 In year 2002, the Departments prepared the attached list of signage for the entire <br />year, recognizing that some events may change dates or times slightly. <br /> <br />1.3 The signs and displays must adhere to setback provisions, except for directional <br />signage, which may be at the property line. <br /> <br />2.0 STAFF RECOMMENDATIONS: <br /> <br />2.1 Staff recommends the Council approve the 2002 sign permit for city uses and <br />promotions as listed in the attached sheet(s). <br /> <br />3.0 SUGGESTED COUNCIL ACTION: <br /> <br />3.1 By motion, approve the 2002 sign permit for city uses and promotions as listed in the <br />attached sheet(s). <br /> <br />Q:ComDev\Planning Files\PF33 71 \RCA(O I 0702) <br /> <br />RCA 01/07/02 - City Signs <br />
