Attachment D
Bryan Lloyd
From:
Sent:Thursday, November 20, 2014 12:22 PM
To:Paul Bilotta; Bryan Lloyd
Subject:Boaters' Outlet application for renewal of existing IUP - PF09-025
Follow Up Flag:Follow up
Flag Status:Flagged
Dear Mr. Bilotta /Mr. Lloyd:
As a residential neighbor located to the north of the commercial property located at 1705 Co. Rd. C., I’m writing in support of the
Boater’s Outlet application for renewal of their current interim use permit. Although I didn’t personally receive notification regarding
the open house held on November 17, 2014, I learned of the open house being held from another member of our neighborhood and
decided to attend. Even though not on the list of addresses they were to send notices to, I was warmly greeted personally by
the Kloskins and their general manager. I was able to view the site and the Kloskins’ were very open to and answered any and all
questions asked of them. The current conditions appear to be sufficient and satisfactorily maintained as required by their current
permit.
As a side note, I appreciated not only their willingness to comply with the requirements of the application but also their
obvious interest in being good commercial neighbors, i.e., they were interested in the community at large around their business,
whether we experienced any impact of their business, any concerns, etc. This is the kind of attitude that I particularly value from
commercial neighbors and one that I think embodies the “stewardship” talked about in our City’s vision. In light of this, I wish them
the best in their efforts and continued success of their business, as well as supporting approval of their application for renewal of
their current existing interim use permit and stated conditions.
If you have any questions about what I've written, please don't hesitate to contact me, otherwise, please let me know
when this will come before the planning commission and council for approval.
Thanks,
Lisa McCormick
Wheeler Street N
1
