March 29, 2002

~

Mr. Dennis Welsch
Director, Community Development
City of Roseville
2660 Civic Center Drive
Roseville, Minnesota 55113

Re: Metro Transit: Shelters at Bus Stops.

Dear Dennis:

Outdoor Promotions, Inc. received the attached letter from Rich Rovang, Metro
Transit. Over the past 2 years, we have worked closely with Metro Transit on
bus stops improvements in suburban cities that encourage use of public transit.

Mr. Rovang's letter acknowledges that Metro Transit budget limitations will continue
to constrain the number of new shelters they plan to build and maintain. Further,
Metro Transit encourages cities seeking additional transit amenities to work with
private enterprises like Outdoor Promotions, Inc.

In Roseville, our work has focused on your community desires to provide citizen riders
with improved access to public transit. Outdoor Promotions, Inc. would like to submit
a proposal for a public/private partnership that would improve bus stop safety,
cleanliness, and weather protection for all your citizen riders; and, enhance the image
of MT bus stops in Roseville.

Dennis, we believe the Metro Transit letter needs to be shared with all members
of Roseville's senior staff and your Planning Commission.

I will be in the Twin Cities the week of April 22-26, and would like to meet with
you at a mutually convenient time.

Respectfully,

/J (;:J, L-
{ffi#ph1~

Craig Piernot
Contract Development
Attachment: Metro Transit letter.

5724 S, College Avenue
Fort Collins, CO 80525

970,266,0979
FAX 970,225,1560
