Number: No more than one bus bench or shelter may be placed at a roadway <br />intersection in the direction of traffic flow. <br /> <br /> <br />[Issue: Intersections of fixed bus routes experience traffic in <br />the same and cross directions. For example: At Fairview <br />Ave. and County Road.B west of Rosedale Mall, transit riders <br />move both north/south and east/west. Curbside amenities need to <br />serve both patterns of ridership for traffic safety and <br />public transportation service.] <br /> <br />D. Proximity to Other Benches or Shelters: No bus bench or shelter may be <br />placed within five hundred feet (500') of any other bench or <br />shelter on a roadway. <br /> <br /> <br />[Issue: For example, along County Road B. on the northside of <br />Rosedale Mall, bus stops at the access roads are less than 1,000 <br />feet apart. Curbside amenities at these stops make access to <br />commercial business practical and improve public transportation <br />service to/from the mall. <br /> <br />1 <br />
