In addition it would be nice to begin or conclude the briefing paper with a reference to the regional consistency theme you mention. Finally, I suppose we ought to try to include some reaction from the Met Transit folks. I assume they are strongly positive; it would be helpful for a Met Transit spokesperson to be present at the WS or to submit a letter of support that we could include in the packet. Thanks for ! I explained that we have considered their concept, thought about the ordinance revisions, and the structure and maintenance issues, and the removal of existing benches and the placement of new/location of new and other issues for bus shelters and are interested in following up, but are awaiting a time on the work session agenda - they suggested March 4th. They are also working with Shoreview, Mounds View and New Brighton and it appears that the Coalition will endorse this type of concept for transit consistency. Can we get enough information (from our own studies) together and find a slot on March 4th? I will forward your responses to them as you direct. I will also talk to the senior Program at Fairview about Craig meeting with them about convenient bus shelters for seniors. Other issues? Thanks for your thoughts.
