To whom it may concern,
City ofRoseville.

May 20, 2002

Regarding non-conforming placement of shed at 716 County Road c., Roseville.

Viking Racing Pigeon Club Inc, purchased 716 W. County Road C. in 1987.
There was a shed 8xl0 on the east side of the garage on blocks, only three feet away from
the garage.
The existing shed was showing its age and as good neighbors concerned for the
neighborhood we tore it down and built a new one, leaving some wood for the
foundation.
The new shed was built according to code, six feet from the garage a 120 square feet,
which I was told you do not need a permit for this square footage. Shed will be sided like
the garage to match. (when we know what is going to happen)

Comer lot, that was not the case, until recently when the city of Roseville, converted the
driveway to the legion club into a street.
The Roseville city, Inspectors were absent when the contractor tore out shrubs & sod,
from our backyard, and never relandscaped our yard back to its original condition.

Street was put in II-YEARS after we purchased the property.
Old shed was in place when we purchased this property in1987.
We improved the looks of the shed by building a new one, brought it up to code.
Removed the shed behind the garage 4/26/02.
Installed a new concrete driveway, and tore out the old existing blacktop.
Hired a reputable contractor to do the work and get permits as required.
The contractor went down and applied for a permit, I would think this is something the
city ofRoseville should be taking up with the contractor.
The city ofRoseville: is now accusing us of being 34 percent instead ofthe 30 percent
ratio.
All but a small portion of concrete was added on the east side of the garage to the existing
driveway, so rodents and rabbits do not create a problem.
Removed a sidewalk going no where in the backyard.
Safer for our renter to turn-around instead of backing out on to County Road C.

After I reviewed your regulations, we seem to be incompliance with them.
Our shed is 120 square feet, 6- feet from the nearest structure, setback behind the main
structure, qualifying as the garden shed. (Welcome to the city ofRoseville)

Property Manager

~

651-487-2589
