<br /> <br />Community Development Department <br />651-490-2279 . fax: 651-490-2931 <br /> <br />April 12, 2002 <br /> <br />Mr. Paul Rudolph <br />Viking Racing Pigeon Club <br />1825 Jackson Street <br />Maplewood, MN 55117-2324 <br /> <br />RE: Non-Conforming Placement of Shed at 716 County Road C, Roseville. <br /> <br />Dear Mr. Rudolph: <br /> <br />This past week I had an opportunity to review the shed situation at 716 County Road C with <br />members of the Community Development staff and the City Attorney. After reviewing the City <br />Code and the shed size and location, we have determined the following: <br /> <br />. You will need to apply for and receive a building permit from the Community <br />Development Department for the shed you constructed and sited on the premises last <br />year. <br /> <br />. The existing shed located behind the garage (south side) must be removed from the <br />premises by May 1, 2002. <br /> <br />. The new shed has been placed in a location not allowed by the Roseville City Code. This <br />shed must be removed from its east side location adjacent to Rosetown Court to a <br />location with a minimum street side setback of 30 feet from a property line and a <br />minimum rear yard setback of 5 feet. Accessory structures are not allowed in front or <br />side yards facing a street. Should you desire to keep this location you would have to <br />apply for and receive a variance (Staff does not support this location for the shed - <br />application attached). <br /> <br />. The shed must also be painted, stained, or preserved to protect the wood by May 1, 2002. <br /> <br />In the next few weeks will review the issues and situation surrounding the concrete driveway and <br />completing some preliminary analysis on lot coverage.
