Variance Application ad Roseville
Additional information for Richard Vazquez, 812 Lovell Avenue, Roseville, MN 55113

The house was built in October of 1946. It sits about 5 (five) feet closer to the front property
line than both contiguous homes. The proposed porch will extend 8 (eight) feet from the front
wall and 3 (three) feet in front of the current front door and foyer. This will allow adequate
space to walk across the porch without imposing a safety danger. This proposed porch will
be 23 feet from the front property line, and still 1 (one) foot less than the current steps and
sidewalk extend.

This hardship is not caused by the current owner. Expansion homes of this type were built
after \NN II with the intent to expand as needs and families grew. This house was built
before these types of building codes were established. Because of the placement of the
structure and these circumstances, it has placed the owner in a position of requesting a
variance from the city. The porch is to be built in a style that is in accordance with the current
structure. The proposed project also meets all 12 site conditions of the setback permit
application.

The contiguous and 3 (three) facing neighbors are very supportive of this improvement
project as stated on the attached notice.
