<br />EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE <br />CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of <br />Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota, was held on the 1 ih day of June 2002, at 6:30 p.m. <br /> <br />The following members were present: <br />and the following were absent: <br /> <br />Council Member <br /> <br />introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING A VARIANCE TO SECTION 1004.02DS (YARD <br />REQUIREMENTS - FRONT YARD SETBACK) OF THE ROSEVILLE CITY CODE <br />FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT 3107 WEST OWASSO BOULEVARD (PF 3400). <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Robert Wilson has requested a variance to Section 1004.02D5 (Yard <br />Requirements - Front Yard Setback) of the Roseville City Code to allow construction of an <br />attached garage with living space above; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Mr. Wilson's property is located at 3107 West Owasso Boulevard and <br />legally described at as: <br /> <br />Lot 4, Block 1, Minnesota Realty Co's Owasso (PID#022923110029) <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section 1004.02D5 requires a minimum principal structure front yard <br />setback of 30 feet in single family residential areas; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Mr. Wilson desires to replace the existing carport with an attached garage <br />and study room above, 26 feet in depth, that would encroach 13 feet into the required 30 foot <br />setback; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Roseville Planning Commission held a public hearing regarding the <br />variance request by Mr. Wilson and recommended (3 1, wlone Commissioner abstaining) to <br />approve the request, based on findings outlined in Section 5 and conditions of Section 6 of the <br />project report dated June 5, 2002. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the Roseville City Council, to grant Robert <br />Wilson 13 foot variance to Section 1004.02D5 (yard requirements - Front Yard Setback) of the <br />Roseville City Code based on the findings in Section 5 of the project report dated June 17,2002, <br />and the following conditions: <br /> <br />a. The attached garage and living area ( above) not encroaching more than 17 feet <br />into the front yard and be a maximum size of 30 feet wide and 26 feet deep. <br /> <br />1 <br />
