<br />EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE <br />CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of <br />Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota, was held on the 23rd day of September, 2002, at 6:30 <br />p.m. <br /> <br />The following members were present: Maschka, Klausing, Kough, Schroeder, Kysylyczyn <br />and the following were absent: None <br /> <br />Council Member Kysylyczyn introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 10034 <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING A VARIANCE TO SECTION 1004.01A6 <br />(MAXIMUM TOTAL SURFACE AREA) OF THE ROSEVILLE CITY CODE <br />FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT 2078 IRENE STREET (PF 3420). <br /> <br />WHEREAS, James & Lucy Wrede have requested a variance to Section 1004.01A6 <br />(Maximum Total Surface Area) in order to allow major home improvements their existing home; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Wrede property is located at 2078 Irene Street and legally described at <br /> <br />as: <br /> <br />Lot 6, Block 2, McCarrons Addition, Roseville (PID#132923210033) <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section 1004.01A6limits each residential lot in Roseville to a maximum <br />impervious coverage of 30%; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Wrede parcel is currently occupied with 3,308 square feet of impervious <br />coverage (structures and pavement surfaces) or 29%; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, James & Lucy Wrede desire to construct certain home improvements to <br />their home, which include a dining room, porch, family room, and second story; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Wrede home is a 1950's rambler situated on an 11,250 square foot lot <br />with a footprint of976 square feet (roughly 24 feet by 37 feet) and a detached garage (in rear <br />yard) 1,176 square feet in size (roughly 20 feet by 50 feet) that lies 70 feet from Irene Street; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said existing impervious coverage is determined to be 3,308 square feet or <br />29%, and said proposed home improvements would create a total impervious coverage of 4,0 13 <br />square feet or 36% of the site; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Roseville Planning Commission held the public hearing regarding the <br />Wrede variance request on September 4,2002, and recommended (7-0) approval of the request, <br />based on findings outlined in Section 5 and conditions of Section 6 of the project report dated <br />September 4, 2002. <br /> <br />1 <br />
