<br />July 3, 2003 <br />1934 Shryer Ave. W. <br />Roseville, MN 55113 <br /> <br /> <br />Tom Paschke <br />City ofRoseville <br />2660 Civic Center Drive <br />Roseville, MN 55113 <br /> <br />Dear Tom, <br />This spring I talked with you on the phone about our thoughts on adding an activity room <br />onto our house at 1934 Shryer Ave. W. I've lived in the home for almost 25 years, but <br />now feel the need to have a sunny room to the south. The previous owner had added a <br />small dining area to the kitchen, which is where we spend our time now in retirement. <br /> <br />The maximum size of the ad~: ~1ated as the cross-hatched area in the diagram I <br />am sending you, is approximately JRft (to the south) by 27 ft. (east-west). We are about <br />to receive an estimate from a local remodeler who has done other additions in our area of <br />Roseville. <br /> <br />I understand we will need a setback permit from the city, because the current maximum <br />plan would have the addition projecting 6 ft into the setback area on the west (Prior Ave) <br />side. The maximum dimension of the addition along the west edge would be 16 ft. We <br />are obtaining estimates for somewhat smaller sizes also. <br /> <br />I am enclosing a couple copies of my drawing of the house with the addition in cross- <br />hatching. Also, I'm enclosing a couple copies of my drawing of the house with addition <br />in cross hatch as it sits on our lot and showing the garage and driveway. <br /> <br />I am also enclosing letters signed by Greg Hruby who lives immediately south of us on <br />Prior Ave., Phyllis and Clarence Christoffersen who live to our north, and the neighbor to <br />the east. <br /> <br />Please let me know uyou need additional information or submissions for your review. <br />I'd appreciate knowing what the process will be for review on this request. I believe you <br />said there are hearings on Thursdays at 3:30.
