<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />11111 <br /> <br /> <br />EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE <br />CITY COUNCIL OF THE ~JTY OF ROSEVILLE <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of <br />Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota, was held on the 22nd day of September, 2003, at 6:30 <br />p.m. <br /> <br />The following members were present: Maschka, Klausing, Kough and Kysylyczyn <br />and the following were absent: Schroeder <br /> <br />Council Member Maschka introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 10147 <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING A VARIANCE TO SECTION 1004.01A3 OF THE <br />ROSEVILLE CITY CODE FOR MICHAEL DAVIS, 2730 GRIGGS STREET (PF3518). <br /> <br />WHEREAS, ~ael Davis requested a Variance to Section 1004.01A3 (Detached <br />Accessory Building Size Limit) of the Roseville City Code to allow the construction of a 960 <br />square foot detached accessory building in his rear yard; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Davis residence is located at 2730 Griggs Street, and legally described <br /> <br />as: <br /> <br />Lot 8, Block 2, North Ridge Plat 1, <br /> <br />PIN: 03-29-23-44-0008 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section 1004.01A3 reads "Detached Accessory Building Size Limit: Total <br />detached accessory building area shall be limited to 40% of a required rear yard area up to a <br />maximum size of864 sq. ft. (1,008 sq. ft. under CUP - Section 1004.0IA4). The 40% rear yard <br />limitation is calculated by taking the width of the subject lot or parcel and multiplying it by the <br />required rear yard setback depth of 30 feet, then multiplying that number by .4 or 40%. "; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Davis parcel, with a width of 75 feet has been determined to have a rear <br />yard accessory building allowance of 900 square feet; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the request by Mr. Davis for a 960 square foot detached accessory building <br />exceeds the rear yard limit by 60 square feet, thus a Variance is necessary; and <br /> <br />1 <br />
