Thomas Paschke explained one <br />neighbor was concerned about the view of Bennett Lake and that he provided the gentleman with <br />a copy of the project report. <br /> <br />Kara Rose, 998 Brooks Avenue noted that no impervious surface will be constructed under the <br />porch. Member Bakeman asked for details of lower doorways. <br /> <br />Chair Traynor closed the hearing as there were no public comments. <br /> <br />Motion: Member Peper moved, seconded by Member Ipsen, to recommend approval of an 11 <br />foot Variance to Section 1004.02D4 (side yard adjacent a street) of the Roseville City Code to <br />allow the construction of a 14 foot by 14 foot porch and 14 foot by 10 foot deck on to the west <br />side of the principal structure to be placed 19 feet from the property line for Kara Rose, 998 <br />Brooks Avenue, based on the findings of Section 5 and conditions of Section 6 ofthe project <br />report dated January 7,2004. <br /> <br />Ayes: 6 <br /> <br />Nays: 0 <br /> <br />Motion carried 6-0. Plannin2 File 3524: CONTINUED HEARING - Request by Speedway <br />SuperAmerica for a Conditional Use Permit in accordance with Section 1005.04C17 <br />and 10B.01D (Conditional Use Permits) of the Roseville City Code for 2172 <br />Lexington Avenue. <br /> <br />Chair Traynor re-opened the hearing and requested the City Planner present the verbal summary <br />of the staff report dated January 7, 2004. <br /> <br />Mr. Paschke indicated that this is a request by SuperAmerica, 2172 Lexington Avenue, for a <br />Conditional Use Permit to allow off-sale liquor sales in a 2,200 sq. ft. portion of the convenience <br />store with a separate entry. A separate liquor license approval is also required and is decided <br />upon by the City Council. The City Code stipulates that licensed premises shall have at least <br />1,600 square feet of sales floor space including sales coolers and excluding walk-in storage <br />coolers. He noted the proposal change adding 600 sq. ft. to the size of the off-sale store and the <br />entry relocating to the east side of the building. <br /> <br />Page 3 of 11 <br />
