<br />1005.08: MOTOR VEHICLE RENTAL AND LEASING BUSINESSES: <br /> <br />2 A. Uses .^.Ilowed By Conditional Use Pcm,it: Motor vehicle rental and leasing businesses as tenants <br />3 in office and office service buildings may be allowed through the issuance of a conditional use <br />4 permit in the B-1 B, B-2, B-3, B-4 and B-6 Zoning Districts. In the review of such applications, it <br />5 shall be determined that the storage of vehicles on the premises shall be purely an accessory use, <br />6 does not function as display or advertising and does not alter the appearance and character of the <br />7 property. <br />8 <br />9 B. Additional Conditions: In addition to other conditions that may need to be attached to these <br />10 conditional use permits to ensure compliance with the intent of this Section, motor vehicle rental <br />1 I and leasing businesses shall conform to the following standards: <br />12 1. Small Vehicles: For rental and leasing businesses, a small vehicle is defined as a motor vehicle <br />13 intended primarily for passenger use and no taller than seven feet (7') in height and no longer than <br />14 twenty feet (20') in length. <br />15 2. Large Vehicles: For rental land leasing businesses, a large vehicle is defined as any motor <br />16 vehicle other than a small vehicle. <br />17 3. Parking Spaces: The number of parking spaces on site for rental vehicles shall be above and <br />18 beyond the number required by the City for employees of the rental or leasing business and for <br />19 other uses on the site or in the same building. <br />20 4. Maintenance; Cleaning: All maintenance and cleaning of vehicles, all equipment for <br />21 maintenance and cleaning of vehicles, and all trailers or other equipment or devices used for <br />22 transporting vehicles shall be completely within the principal building or completely screened <br />23 from eye level of adjacent public streets, residential areas and from other tenant spaces if the use is <br />24 in a multi-tenant building. <br />25 5. Storage of Vehicles: Storage of vehicles shall not interfere with the safe and efficient access and <br />26 circulation of vehicles and pedestrians on site. <br />27 6. Office Building Location Restrictions: Iflocated in an office building, only small vehicles may <br />28 be rented or leased and the parking spaces, signage and other visible evidence of the rental or <br />29 leasing business shall be compatible with the office setting. (Ord. 1099, 8-26-91); amd. 1995 <br />30 Code) <br /> <br />31 <br /> <br />32 1005.09: AUTOMOBILE SERVICE STATIONS AND CONVENIENCE STORES SELLING <br />33 FUEL: <br /> <br />34 Automobile service stations shall conform to the following standards: <br />35 A. Surface Covering: The entire site, other than that taken up by a structure or planting, shall be <br />36 surfaced with asphalt or concrete. <br />37 <br />38 B. Drainage System: A drainage system subject to the approval of the Public Works Director shall be <br />39 installed. All drainage systems shall include an oil elimination catch basin. <br />40 <br />41 C. Parking and Service Areas and Curbs: No parking or service area shall be less than five feet (5') <br />42 from a property line and a box curb shall separate the public sidewalk from such parking and/or <br />43 service areas except at approved entrances and exits. <br /> <br />28 <br />
